Meet Our Trainers

  • H.E.A.T.

Dorothy began her yoga practice in San Antonio on a Tuesday morning in February of 2008, with a special Lil

Yogi. She quickly became part of The Diva’s at Hollywood Park, a group of awesome ladies practicing everyday at 9:30am. Her yoga buddies were some of the first to know that Dorothy and husband Ferd were soon to be parents. The ability to practice yoga during her pregnancy was truly a gift and on New Years Eve of the same year, their son Micah was born.

Over the next several years, Dorothy developed a passion for yoga and set her sights on becoming a teacher. She joined the Union Crew as front desk team member in 2010, then manager at Hollywood Park. In the Spring of 2014 she attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles, CA. Since then she’s had a blast learning other modalities including HIIT, Mat Pilates, Barre and Power Yoga.

Born in San Antonio, Dorothy spent most of her life on Oahu and, after attending the University of Hawaii, was a Flight Attendant with Continental Airlines for 12 years. She loves to travel and would love to start putting check marks next to her list of new destinations. Her favorite quote is, ‘be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart and strong enough to live the life you’ve always imagined.’

  • Yoga Reset

Stacey loves the connection, balance, energy, strength and healing that yoga (and this community) has brought to her life. After only a few weeks after her second back surgery in January 2005, she was in extreme pain again.  Luckily she found Bikram Yoga that same year and knew immediately it would change her life. Practicing and teaching Yoga has been a huge part of healing in so many areas of her life ever since.

Stacey says Bikram Yoga was her “gateway” yoga and it opened the doors, her mind, and her world to the many different types of yoga out there. While learning what her body needs has been frustrating at times, most of all it has been an empowering journey. From practicing with intensity and strength, to slowing down, letting go and opening up, Yoga has taught her that the most important thing is listening to your body. Yoga Reset was created through continuing to listen to what she needed in healing her back pain and as well as helping her slow down. She will continue to listen and adapt to what her ever-changing body needs and hopes you do too.  Stacey encourages all to share your smile with people today; someone might really need it to help brighten their day.

Humans are not meant to be alone.

We need time and space to ourselves, and yet it is only with others where our own thoughts, beliefs, and values can be challenged to provide the growth we need to become the next best version of ourselves.
